Our Beliefs

The God of the Bible’s message of hope – the return of Jesus Christ to bring peace on Earth.

“For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:26-28 (ESV)

We believe in God, the Creator of life.
“… He formed it to be inhabited …”
Isaiah 45:18
The Bible is God’s message to us.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God …”
2Timothy 3:16
In it we learn about Jesus, God’s son.
“The Word became flesh and lived among us …”
John 1:14
Jesus died and was raised to eternal life so our sins could be forgiven.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son …”
John 3:16
He will return to raise believers to eternal life and bring world peace.
“… just as Christ was raised from the dead even so we also …”

In Detail…

Christadelphians believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, the Creator of the heavens and the Earth. The Bible tells us that God gave people free will, but their punishment for disobeying Him would be a life of difficulties before eventually dying. We all share the same sinful and mortal nature. But God also provided a way by which we can be forgiven – through the sinless life, sacrifice and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ.

God’s consistent message to us runs through all of the Bible. The Old Testament records God’s promises to the forefathers of the nation of Israel, pointing forward to Jesus. The New Testament describes the life and teachings of Jesus and the Gospel preached by his followers. But the message is the same from Genesis to Revelation. God’s plan is that Jesus will return to rule the Earth in peace and justice, and he will undo the damage done by humankind.

If we repent of our sinfulness, recognise our need for forgiveness and show our faith by baptism and trying to follow the example of Jesus, we can look forward in hope to eternal life in a peaceful, fair and perfected world.
